Today was a blast. I had so much fun trying out a lensbaby for 3 hours in Times Square I lost count of how many photos I did. Want to know: 236! This is going to be a looong post. Just kidding, I’ll just upload a few of them. For starters, the opening photo is a combination of lensbaby and panning. I am still trying to figure out how was I able to take this panning in just one try. Hey, sometime one gotta to be lucky!
The next two images were shot in ToysRUs, representing two action figures:
 Superman |
 Starwars |
The next two images present Times Square as we know it: busy, busy, busy:
 Performance tickets |
 Crossing |
The next one is another combination experiment. I took 5 frames of this photo at different exposure levels to get an HDR images. This was necessary to maintain detail in the foreground while not blowing up the distorted background. I think it turned out ok, although may be a bit noisy:

Times Square in HDR
And to finish, guess whom I found around? Our old friend batman!

Batman
Today was a great day for getting HDRs. I love it when I get clouds like this, they pop up so well with HDR.
Found these locks in a subway station in Queens. Who knows what are they doing there…

Came across this bike with no wheels while walking upper west Broadway this evening. Funny thing it was surrounded by those white and orange plastic protection thingies.
It’s been a long time since I don’t post images like this one. Like the previous ones, this one was shot handheld with a low shutter speed. The more I shoot this kind of images, the more I like them.

With nothing in my camera for today’s post I came across the new subway line being currently constructed in 2nd Ave. It was raining, and I was lucky some workers were still working with the aid of strong lights. There were a lot of interesting picture to be made, and I’ll be back there soon, but for tonight I choosed this one.
