Tomorrow starts a new show in town. Irina Kruzhilina will present her paintings and some costume designs in her new exhibition Ball Masquerade, which can be seen at Evans Real Estate SOHO (110 Greene St, suite 9D, New York). I spent this evening photographing most of her paintings. Today’s photo of the day kind of shows the setup I used to get this paintings digitalized. I say “kind of” because we had to figure out a few tricks to get rid of the reflexions on the paintings that were proctected by glass. With the lack of polarizers for the strobes we had to resort to putting some black material between the camera and the paintings, which turned out to be a black trash bag with a hole for the lens (not shown in the photo). It was fun, and soon you will be able to see the paintings in her website.
