Sunset at Mauna Kea summit with the Gemini and UH 2.2 meter telescopes in the foreground. At more than 13,796 feet (4,200 m) it was freezing, but worth it. If you have the opportunity (and a 4×4) to see the sunset at Mauna Kea, don’t miss it.
Mauna Kea holds 13 telescopes including the largest in the world.
